Primary activity description

EUSA serves its 46 member federations not only in sports events, but in the fields of education and social responsibility as well. It is recognised as the governing body in this field by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), European Commission, Council of Europe and other institutions, as well as numerous partners. Conferences, conventions, seminars and workshops are regularly organised to keep members updated and informed, while providing a platform for networking, transfer of knowledge, sharing of experience and good governance.

Through the EUSA Institute, the association is involved in a number of transnational projects covering topics varying from equal opportunities, dual career and volunteering to gender equality, anti-doping and safe-guarding in sport.

EUSA is recognised by the European Commission as one of the official partners of the European Week of Sport, aimed to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. EUSA is also actively promoting the International Day of University Sport which is celebrated world-wide and annually carries out activities celebrating both initiatives, as well as encourages its members to do the same.
